Cedric Mitchell x Mike’s Hot Honey: The DeDrizzler Glass Decanter

In 2025, Cedric Mitchell Design collaborated with Mike’s Hot Honey to create the DeDrizzler, a limited-edition handblown glass decanter designed specifically for the brand’s signature sweet heat.
The project brought together contemporary craft, culinary culture, product storytelling, and holiday ritual. Rather than placing a plastic condiment bottle on the table, the DeDrizzler gave Mike’s Hot Honey a sculptural serving object with its own presence, personality, and function.
Handblown in Los Angeles, the design featured a pyramid-inspired silhouette, a drip-free maroon spout, and a honeycomb-etched base. Only 40 DeDrizzlers were produced for the limited holiday release.
Watch the story behind the DeDrizzler, designed by Cedric Mitchell for Mike’s Hot Honey.
Designing the First Hot Honey Decanter
The central idea was simple: gravy has a boat, so hot honey deserved a serving piece of its own.
Developed with creative agency Another Thing for Mike’s Hot Honey, the DeDrizzler transformed that idea into a tangible product. The goal was to create something humorous and immediately understandable, then give it the design attention and craftsmanship needed to feel special.
The result was equal parts decanter, table object, and conversation starter.
It held Mike’s Hot Honey, controlled the finishing drizzle, and gave the brand a distinctive presence at holiday meals.
The DeDrizzler Design
Every visual detail connected the object back to the Mike’s Hot Honey story.
The tall, pyramid-inspired silhouette referenced the pizza oven and the food culture where hot honey first gained momentum. A maroon drip-free spout provided a controlled pour while adding a recognizable color accent. The etched honeycomb pattern at the base connected the material to honey, texture, and the identity of the brand.
The shape needed to look refined on a holiday table without becoming too formal. It needed a little attitude, a little humor, and enough sculptural presence to remain on display after the meal.
“I wanted to design something that feels at home on a beautiful holiday table: modern, sculptural, a little bit of funk, and a joy to use.”
That balance between function and personality is central to the Cedric Mitchell Design approach.
Handblown Glass Made in Los Angeles
Each DeDrizzler was individually handblown in Los Angeles. The limited production brought the marks of a handmade process into a consumer brand collaboration.
Glass introduces small variations in proportion, movement, and finish. Those differences are not defects. They are evidence that each object moved through the hands of a maker rather than an automated production line.
For a campaign built around gathering, sharing, and making an everyday ritual feel more considered, that human quality mattered.
The collaboration demonstrated how a food brand can use artist-led product design to create something collectible, functional, and culturally relevant.
A Limited-Edition Holiday Release
The DeDrizzler launched on November 13, 2025, as part of a limited Mike’s Hot Honey Holiday Bundle. The $24.99 bundle included one 12-ounce bottle of Original Mike’s Hot Honey, one 12-ounce bottle of Extra Hot, and a DeDrizzler packaged for gifting.
With only 40 handmade decanters available, the release combined product scarcity with an accessible entry point. Customers received the artist-designed object with the same two-bottle combo offered by the brand.
The object was built for more than pizza. It could finish turkey, ham, stuffing, mac and cheese, brie, roasted vegetables, desserts, and cocktails.
That versatility helped move the DeDrizzler beyond novelty and into the larger worlds of tableware, barware, gifting, and functional art.

Why the Collaboration Worked
The DeDrizzler succeeded because the concept, product, brand, and artist were aligned.
Mike’s Hot Honey brought a playful and recognizable product ritual. Another Thing developed a simple campaign idea that could exist in advertising, social content, press, and the real world. Cedric Mitchell Design translated that idea into a physical object with material presence and functional credibility.
The collaboration was tangible and participatory. People could understand it immediately, use it at the table, give it as a gift, photograph it, and tell someone else the story.
That is what strong brand collaboration can do. It creates more than content. It creates an object and experience that people remember.
