Ettore’s Echo — Modern Funk Totem

A sculptural glass statement stacked with a gangster’s lean. Ettore’s Echo bridges the radical geometry of Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis Design Group with my unmistakable Modern Funk aesthetic — where postmodern play meets street rhythm, color theory, and attitude.

This 37-inch tower of joy vibrates like a jazz composition with each shape riffing off the next, building tension and release in glass form. The lapis base lays down the bassline, the yellow and lime shapes pop like brass hits, and the purple cone closes it out with a confident solo. It’s jazz you can see — syncopated, soulful, alive.

At the same time, every form in Ettore’s Echo carries the energy of a graffiti tag with bold, personal, full of motion and meaning. Each curve is a signature; each color is a statement. Together, they form a visual freestyle that celebrates culture, individuality, and unapologetic joy.
